Finale Rehearsal - Our Studio

Normal Studio Uniform/Dancewear
All students apart from Lil Groovers are required to participate in the finale, which will be taught and rehearsed on the 7th of November.
The finale is like the final bow – we choreograph a small, fun routine that the whole school does together, along with each class doing their own bows.
The finale is performed only at our 2nd Saturday night concert, and all awards and presentations are done after this, while all of our students are on stage.
The kids love it – it's a fun celebration for them and a time to enjoy the applause.
All awards are given out after the finale at our second show, while we have the kids on stage.
A run-through of the finale will take place at different unallocated times at our Art House rehearsals.
All students will change into their CMDA uniform or colours at both concerts for the finale.
Our Lil Groovers will have their own finale and presentations in the morning show. We won't do a rehearsal for this age group. They are fine to stay in their costumes or wear uniform - whatever is easy.
The Rehearsal
Could all parents please wait downstairs during rehearsals (unless your little one is worried and needs you). Space is very limited. At the end of each rehearsal, our teachers, Dance Steppers, and I will bring students down and hand them over only once we’ve seen the parent/carer.
You will need to meet them at our blue door. We will not send kids across the road to you in the park, or if you are sitting in your car.
We’ll also have a few parents on duty between the studios and the front/back stairs. QR codes will be available downstairs for sign-in and sign-out. This is good practice for concert days, where parents won’t always be backstage.
If your child is not going straight to another class after rehearsal, they must remain upstairs with us unless you are taking them — no trips to the shops, as we can’t supervise this. Please make sure your child knows what they’re doing.
Cost is $10 for the Finale Rehearsal and $15 capped fee if your child has their dance rehearsal after.

Parent Helpers
We need class mothers to supervise each class, ensuring the safety and well-being of our dancers. Our helpers are allocated a class or age group and stay in our dressing room assisting students with changes, entrance and exits to and from stage areas, etc. You will also be on make-up touch-ups, toilet runs, and everything else that happens in the changing rooms. It is an excellent idea for moms to help one show and watch another.If you are able to be a volunteer helper, please fill in attached form and I will get further information to you in term 4.If there are too many volunteers for one class, some may be asked to assist children from another class or take on other duties like check-in/out. It is all a very organized system.
