Concert Stage Rehearsals – The Art House
17 & 18 November
Uniform only – no costumes.
What's Happening
Each day will begin with the Finale rehearsal, so students get stage practice. We will also do a few random practices of the Finale for the children who aren't in the first few dances and haven't arrived yet. You're child only needs to be there for their own dances. Not the whole time.
Students only need to attend the day they have dances.
It's fun being at the Theatre.
After the Finale, we will rehearse in order below.
Times are very loose, please allow us to be late or early.
Audience Rules
No parents are allowed in the audience unless they are a helper (Theatre rule).
Exceptions will be made for toddlers or children who are distressed without a parent.
Please use your best judgment based on what your child needs. Sometimes they just need us to reassure them, take them on stage, and so on, and we are happy to help them with what they need. It's all very new for our little ones who haven't done it before.
Drop-Off & Pick-Up
Students must sign in and out at the Theatre's backstage doors. Please don't enter via the front auditorium.
No child will be allowed to leave until their parent is present to collect them, and we sight this.
Cost
These two rehearsals are included in your regular weekly fees.
Older Students
Seniors are welcome both days, from beginning to end, if they would like to participate in the Finale rehearsals and help out.
No Regular Classes These Days
All students are to attend rehearsals at The Art House.
Some students may end up attending both days, and I apologise for that. Scheduling with so many dancers on different days is hard — they will enjoy the extra stage time.
Times
Arrival from 3:30 pm
Finish by 9:00 pm (the Theatre must be vacated by then)
Students may leave once they have completed their dances.
Students only need to be there for their class times. No need to be there until your class is on.

Parent Helpers
We need class mothers to supervise each class, ensuring the safety and well-being of our dancers. Our helpers are allocated a class or age group and stay in our dressing room assisting students with changes, entrance and exits to and from stage areas, etc. You will also be on make-up touch-ups, toilet runs, and everything else that happens in the changing rooms. It is an excellent idea for moms to help one show and watch another.
If you are able to be a volunteer helper, please fill in attached form and I will get further information to you in term 4.
If there are too many volunteers for one class, some may be asked to assist children from another class or take on other duties like check-in/out. It is all a very organized system.
